Photo Gallery: Good Friday Walk of the Cross
It was a cold but clear Good Friday morning for this year’s Walk of the Cross - a long-standing Easter tradition that brings together Lakefield’s Christian community to reflect on the message of the Cross.
The procession led us through the village, from church to church, starting at Lakefield United. At every stop, a reading and prayer was given by a representative from each congregation (United, Presbyterian, Baptist, Anglican, and Roman Catholic). Speakers from Lakefield Youth Unlimited also participated.
The procession ended at Lakefield Baptist Church where it was followed by a moving ecumenical Good Friday service which included reflections based on the seven words and a beautiful performance from Lakefield Children’s Chorus.
