On May 11, the ACW were hosts for the Deanery ACW Meeting. This was a time of sharing, learning, fellowship, and worship for women from across our deanery. Special guests were Jill and Peter Adams who gave a presentation on the work of Sleeping Children Around the World . This organization provides bedkits to children of any race and/or religion who have the greatest need for these items; typically, recipients are from underdeveloped and developing countries. None of the money received for bedkit donations is spent on administration — its is all used to  reach needy children . Each donation of $35 provides a bedkit that typically consists of a mat or mattress, pillow, sheet, blanket, mosquito net (if applicable), clothes outfit, towel and school supplies. Bedkit contents vary from country to country depending upon local needs.Below, Peter Adams displays the bedkit items.

Our own Junior Church collected spare coins and as a result of a tremendous response from the congregation they were able to make a donation to help children who need these basic items.
