Quilts For Cancer

On the third Monday of the month, a group meets in the Upper Hall of St. John's to assemble quilts for Quilts For Cancer Peterborough County. We receive the quilt pieces made up in kits ready to be sewn together.

Participants bring their own sewing machine and threads. Some people are busy pressing as others sew. Come join us as we make comforting quilts for those battling cancer. Participants are invited to bring a brown bag lunch. Coffee and tea are provided.

As well, volunteers may choose to pick up a kit to take home to put together, quilt a top, or perhaps put on a binding. You may also donate any good quality quilting cotton.
