Three couples have chosen to be married there this summer. Marjorie Topping a long-time volunteer CCCM guide jokes that she had planned to have her memorial service at Christ Church but little did she know that on June 14th it would be used for a much more joyful occasion. Last fall she met her prince charming, George Bardwell, at a car rally. They tied the knot at the beautiful restored church on June 14th. They found it to be just the right size for the 47 people who attended.
The Rev. Munroe Scott marries Karen Locklin and Terry Gain. Terry says that he lucked out.
To Karen Locklin it just seemed like the perfect place for her wedding when she married Terry Gain on June 28th. Karen has had a long history with Lakefield. She fondly recalls playing her trumpet at a concert in Christ Church several years ago.
The four generations of the Marsden/Whitehead wedding are seated comfortably in the aesthetic setting.
Mary Marsden, another long-time CCCM guide, suggested to her daughter Katie, that she consider having her wedding at Christ Church. Katie Marsden and David Whitehead were married on August 3rd.
